Additional Description: The meadowlark is a songbird associated with the morning and with the sun. See this folktale from the Blackfoot Nation that describes the how the meadowlark got its yellow coloring. I decided to pair the meadowlarks in this painting with the bumblebee, another solar symbol associated with summer, and the tree of life or sacred tree. Taken in whole, the painting is a powerful solar symbol as well as symbol of summer and positive creative / creation energy.
